X-Ray | Doppler | Ultrasound | EKG
X-rays captures images of the inside of an individuals body. These images exhibit each structure in neutral shades of black and white due to different tissues penetrated by certain amounts of radiation. The overall x-ray will reflect white when calcium is detected. Soft tissue will absorb less radiation, so it displays a grey color. Lungs will look black because air molecules are not absorbed by radiation.
A diagnostic imaging technique based on the application of ultrasound. Used to see internal body structures such as tendons, muscles, joints, vessels and internal organs.
A Doppler Ultrasound is a noninvasive test that can be used to estimate your blood flow through blood vessels by bouncing high frequency sound waves off circulating red blood cells.
A test that checks for problems with the electrical activity of your heart. An EKG will show the heart’s electrical activity as line tracing on paper.
